Prior to joining VANTOS, Mr. Spadafore was Executive Vice President at Reconnex, where he was responsible for the global sales, systems engineering and customer care organizations. At Reconnex, he successfully accelerated sales from zero to $10 million in less than two years’ time and also played a key role in securing the company’s mission critical B and C rounds of funding. Previously, he focused on technology leadership and channel development as Executive Vice President of GreenBorder Technology.
Prior to that, Mr. Spadafore was Executive Vice President at Brightmail, where he was pivotal in leading the company’s worldwide sales, marketing and business operations, as well as securing the company’s $35 million B round of funding. Symantec acquired Brightmail in 2004 for $370 million. In addition, Mr. Spadafore has held executive positions at Netopia, NETCOM Communications and Apple Computer. He has been honored with industry and community leadership and service awards throughout the course of his career. Prior to entering the business arena, Mr. Spadafore was a professional football player for the Washington Redskins, Los Angeles Rams and San Diego Chargers. Mr. Spadafore received his B.S. in Computer Science and his M.S. in Computer Technology and Education from Boise State University in Idaho.
